Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to submit abstracts to the mini symposium on the Dynamics of Jointed Structures at the 17th US National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (USNCTAM), held from June 15th-20th, 2014 at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, USA.
The goal of this forum is share ideas, activities, best practices, and innovative solutions to applied dynamics problems faced by industry, national laboratories, and academic partners. Please consider contributing to our mini symposium on the Dynamics of Jointed Structures, or one of many others being organized at this year's USNCTAM, which cover a range of topics in the areas of dynamics, mechanics of solids and structures, biomechanics, computational mechanics, nano- and micro- mechanics of materials with microstructure, and fluid mechanics:
http://www.usnctam2014.org
Important dates for USNCTAM are:
• Dec 1, 2013: Last day to submit an abstract for contributed presentations.
• Jan 15, 2014: Announcement of accepted contributed presentations.
• Feb. 15, 2014: Final extended abstracts are due with paid registration.
• April 1, 2014: Conference program made final.
• June 15, 2014: Conference start.
Please note that interested authors are only required to submit a draft abstract (up to 400 words) for initial consideration and a final 2-page extended abstract for the conference.
We hope that you will consider submitting an abstract, and look forward to your participation at the 2014 USNCTAM. Please do not hesitate to contact me or one of my co-organizers listed below if you have any questions.
Thanks, and take care,
Matthew Brake, Dan Segalman, and Dane Quinn
